Thing Explainer: Complicated Stuff in Simple Words - Randall Munroe The Horologicon: A Day's Jaunt Through the Lost Words of the English Language - Mark Forsyth The Elements of Eloquence: Secrets of the Perfect Turn of Phrase - Mark Forsyth

I'm trying to cure my head cold with online binge shopping. Actually, blame it on Murder by Death. I saw her review of Thing Explainer and had to have it. After I "Looked Inside" on Amazon, I had to have it even more. So, while I was spending money, it was time to add a hardcover edition of Eloquence to my bookshelves (I already have the audio but you can't jump around in an audio and you can't write in it). As long as I was getting Eloquence, I might as well get Horologicon which was already in my "I want" list but since I don't quite see it as a jump around title, I opted for the Kindle edition rather than another book that my children will have to deal with when the time comes. Looks like TBR is really building up and I haven't finished reading the couple of carry over titles from 2015 yet. Blame that on the head cold.
