Baltimore Blues - Laura Lippman, Deborah Hazlett

Good but not great. I may even read more by this author.

The end was a surprise; didn't see that one coming. The protagonist was like-able but some of the scenes lacked verisimilitude. You are sitting there saying, "Oh, come on! That would never happen in real life!"  Sorry, no examples because I don't want to spoil anything. Still, it was an enjoyable story.

The only real down-side was the narrator who does not know how to pronounce dour and who does a terrible Baltimore accent--which is more of a northern accent than a southern drawl.

I give it 3 and half stars.
